We began the school year with our study of roots through our habit of Be Proactive! The students have been learning that when they come to a big word, a knowledge of roots keep them from becoming reactive!
We have moved beyond the roots (prefixes/suffixes) in Proactive Reader and learning new roots of the day! Some classes will be completing a Root Scrapbook and others will simply embed the root in their lessons!
I will be posting the roots of the day on our blog as
well as Facebook! Try to use these at home --it's actually pretty fun!!
